Python Job: Senior Backend Engineer - Backend-Python; 100% Rem

Areto Labs’ team is growing, and we need to amp up our expertise in systems design, architecture and infrastructure with someone who can lead a team, think short- and long-term, and who loves to dig into some code writing across the entire product development lifecycle. We’re combining the latest machine learning research and models, data science, creativity and the best of empathic design and usability to make positive change in the world, and help organizations around the world moderate and counteract racist, sexist, homophobic and transphobic content, by busting trolls, and by helping them actively and safely engage in productive discourse to raise the floor of online social interactions.

As a senior backend engineer, you’ll play an integral role in the technical vision and entire product development lifecycle including development, testing, deployment and maintenance of new and existing features. You’ll be a thinker and a doer, and own the design of a pretty platform. This is a great opportunity for a creative thinking natural leader who thinks holistically, and isn’t afraid to test and iterate and move fast.

Upcoming projects include building out our events-based architecture, improving current streaming services for reliability and fault-tolerance, building resiliency within all systems, and building and maintaining pipelines.

We’ve got an awesome roadmap, and we’ll need help building the system that supports our ML and data science research and feature integration, and lots of social media platforms to add to our arsenal. In this role, there are lots of opportunities (and expectations!) to help shape the direction of our tech and business while making a palpable impact.
